Picture windows do not allow a venting option but provide maximum views through clean architectural lines. As with the casement window frame, rabbet joints are utilized to achieve the assembly strength and the sill is also protected from water contact with a heavy walled PVC liner. Incorporated into the sill is a 3 degree slope to not only deter water from sitting or climbing but also to promote the runoff of water which may have entered the glazing cavity. The same solid hem / fir construction is standard and the 5/8", 1" and 2" brickmould options (with integral nailing flange) are also available.
