Job Description

Job Purpose: Reporting to the president, the primary focus of the Director of Sales is to build a strong and properly structured sales force in both Calgary and Edmonton. To lead the company’s sales growth in existing markets as well as open and grow untapped markets and regions. The candidate will be strategic, and exhibits thought and people leadership, superior communication skills, and organizational structure skills to shape and lead Lux’s sales force. Key Responsibilities

  • Informational o Research existing and prospective markets, clients, and competitors; report finds internally to help identify specific areas of opportunity or potential improvement o Draft detailed and accurate sales reports o Design and implement strategic plans to reach sales targets o Help identify opportunities to introduce innovative new products/services o Investigate lost sales and customer accounts o Track and interpret sales figures o Monitor the achievement of sales objectives by the sales team o Build strong knowledge and understanding of all products offered by Lux Windows o Strive to find new customers and regions to help with company growth o Generate timely sales reports o Participate in trade shows, industry events, training opportunities, sales meetings, and client meetings • Interpersonal o Recruits new staff as required o Set individual sales targets with sales team o Ensure sales team has the necessary resources to perform tasks properly o Oversee and evaluate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or College Diploma in Marketing, Business, or related field • A minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role • Excellent strategic judgment with a commercial mindset as it relates to partnering and negotiating • In-depth knowledge of technical sales skills and best practices • Natural story telling abilities, leveraging data and sales expertise to create partnership visions and frameworks • Strong analytical skills and ability to use tools such as MS Excel and Word • Strong presentation skills, with advanced expertise using presentation tools such as PowerPoint • Experience with ERP, and CRM tools is considered a definite asset • Contract negotiation experience, through demonstrated track record of negotiating success • Strong leadership capabilities – the ability to inspire and lead both directly and indirectly • Ability to build and execute against a long-term sales strategy • Ability to inspire excitement about, and participation in, BD initiatives from
